Kimley-Horn is the consultant that Jacksonville Beach is using to help revise the city’s Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code, two very important documents impacting the quality of life in the city. They have created an informative and robust website for residents to learn more about these two documents, their importance, and how to be involved in the revisions.
The flow chart below displays how the Comprehensive Plan and the LDC impact what happens in your neighborhoods.

The 2050 Comprehensive Plan was approved in late 2024. This page contains the materials and workshops that were used in its development. (It is not a comprehensive source for all the materials.)
The first reading of the Land Development Code was heard by Council on February 3rd. They agreed to postpone the vote until after a public workshop when the city can explain the proposed changes and the problems they are solving.
**This workshop will be on February 20, 2025, at 6 pm in City Council Chambers.**
