What’s Changed?
We continue to identify the main changes to the LDC. As mentioned, some have been needed for a long time. This include changes to the required parking for townhouses. Others seem to come out of nowhere, like the change rate for digital message signs.
Below are copies of the current Land Development Code (LDC) and the proposed LDC. The Council voted to postpone the first reading until after a public workshop. This workshop is for the city to explain the proposed changes and the problems they are solving with each. The public will have opportunities to ask questions.
The Final Public Workshop on the New LDC is Scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
The city had not provided a strikethrough/underline document of the changes. This is also known as a red line version. It is customary so changes can easily be identified. We have combined the two documents; the changes are identified in the version below. The document is lengthy. We are working on simpler, topic-specific documents. These will highlight what we consider to be the main changes.
