The Jax Beach Zoning Map (right) identifies the different “zones” in the City. These zones are referred to in the LDC and dictate what a property owner can do in each zone.
Residential zones are labeled RS-1, RS-2, RS-3 (RS stands for Single Family Residential), RM-1, and RM-2 (Residential Multi-Family). Similarly, C-1, C-2, CPO, and CS are commercial zones. I-1 is the industrial zone, and downtown comprises the CBD (Central Business District) and RD (Redevelopment District) zones.
PUDs are Planned Unit Developments, each with its own development criteria.
